New Year, new faces
Passing the baton at closure and packaging manufacturer Menshen: Andreas Schlinkert retires after 41 years. His position is taken over by 42-year-old Jan Valenthon on January 1, 2021.
We are pleased to welcome Jan Valenthon, a proven HR expert, as the new Head of Human Resources at Menshen Germany. His passion is digital HR work. Together with his team, he will focus on further strengthening Menshen as an attractive employer brand.
Valenthon took on his first specialist and management tasks at a company in the manufacturing sector after studying business administration in Siegen. From 2014-2020, he moved to a medium-sized company in the metal and plastics processing industry as human resources manager. “Menshen now feels to me like coming home,” says Valenthon, who grew up in the Sauerland region. “Here I have a lot of creative freedom and can make a lot of things happen together with passionate colleagues.”
In addition to managing a team of eight, his responsibilities include all human resources work. “In principle, my team and I take care of everything that characterizes modern HR work from A to Z,” says Valenthon. The business graduate with additional training as a business coach pays particular attention to the digitization of processes. “We gain process reliability and increase our efficiency as a result. Taken together, both create scope for strengthening our employer brand and personnel marketing.”
