Outstanding Company for Trainees
Menshen certified once again as an ‘Outstanding Company for Trainees’
Also this year, Georg Menshen GmbH & Co.KG is once again being awarded the quality seal ‘Excellent Training Company’ for the outstanding quality of its training. In an anonymous survey, the apprentices answered around 100 detailed questions about the quality of their training. Topics included, among other, the training content, the treatment of apprentices in the company, and future prospects.
For the quality seal, additional key figures were collected with the department leads, such as the number of apprentices taken on and the dropout rate. “By combining these key figures with the assessment of the apprentices, young people receive reliable information about how good the traineeship in the company actually is,” says business psychologist Judith Grefe from the “ertragswerkstatt,” which oversees the awarding of the seal. Only companies that receive good ratings from their apprentices and are particularly committed to training are “Excellent Training Company 2025.”

The quality seal has been awarded annually since 2013. In recent years, more than 100 companies each year have had the quality of their training comprehensively evaluated. The initiative “Outstanding Training Company” is thus the largest independent and neutral certification for traineeships in companies in Germany.
A prerequisite for participation was that the companies train at least 5 apprentices. “This is important to us, because only then could we conduct an anonymized survey in which the apprentices can respond openly and honestly,” says Judith Grefe from ‘ertragswerkstatt’.
HR director Peter Reichel emphasizes the importance of being perceived by young people as a real opportunity for starting a professional career as a regional family business outside the major metropolitan areas. ‘The trainers and I were very pleased with the results; it is an incentive for us to continue to commit ourselves to training.’
